Eric Reason Custom Woodwork

This Bed was made from a Walnut tree on the clients property that had grown to close to their house.  The tree was cut down then hauled to a local saw mill and dried for several years before I was commissed to build this piece.  My daughter pictured above worked with me to help create this unique piece.  It has been named "The Tree Bed"

All four of these Walnut Chest were made as gifts for the clients children.  They were from the same log set and the crotch of the trees were used for the fronts.

This table is made from a Live Edge Slab of walnut and it was all cut from the same tree.  The client wanted a modern feel and storage solution for their 62 inch Flat Screen TV

I love to Finish. It is probably one of my favorite parts of the furniture building process.  So along with building custom furniture I offer cabinet refinishing. 

This bed was made from tiger maple which is one of my favorite woods to work with.

These vanity cabinets, corner cabinets, medicine cabinets and mirrors were made for a couple that were avid antique collectors and wanted a more handcrafted custom feel instead of your typical production cabinetry. 

Several years ago my wife and I discovered Montessori Education.  It just so happened that one of the largrest Montessori schools in Tennessee was just down the street from where we lived.  We sent our daughter there and one of the teachers found out that I was a furniture maker. The rest is history and I have been building Furniture for them for the last 4 years.  All of the furniture is made from Hard or Soft maple hardwood and is finished with a non toxic water base finish that will not yellow over time.

These Benches were made for a non-profit organizations outdoor garden.

This piece was constructed completely out of Tiger Maple and hard maple as the secondary wood.  It is a sliding dove tail construction with dovetailed top, ogee bracket feet and dove tailed drawers with solid wood bottoms. The drawer fronts were all cut from the same board and sequentially matched vertically to the case. 

These Beds were made for twin boys out of poplar to match another existing piece that had been built by another craftsman. 

I built two of these beds one was out of Hard Maple and the other was out of popular stained to match some existing furniture that the client was putting in there baby’s room

Here are a couple of keeping chest that I made from curly cherry(on left) and tiger maple (on right). They are perfect for keepsakes, important documents, jewelry or just a cool piece of art to show.
